15 Aug 2026: « Prosumers d’énergie dans les Destinations de Montagne » – Conference for the Association VALPIC (Association des Propriétaires – Crans-Montana – Lens – Icogne)
Swiss Pilot, part of the O-CEI project and led by HES-SO, had the pleasure of delivering a conference titled “Social Acceptance in Local Electricity Communities (LECs)” at the VALPIC association on Saturday, 15th August, in Crans-Montana (Valais, Switzerland) — a topic at the heart of territorial energy transitions. The talk explored several key themes: the shift from consumers to prosumers within LECs, the synergies between LECs and artificial intelligence, an overview of our activities within the O-CEI project and BRIDGE community, and a presentation of our research methodology on the social acceptance aspect.
Beyond presenting our findings, this event was above all an opportunity for genuine exchange with the audience. Numerous questions, reflections, and concerns were shared by participants, leading to rich and constructive discussions on social acceptability, local governance, and citizen ownership of new energy technologies. This direct, engaging exchange confirmed the growing public interest in these issues and the importance of continuing the dialogue with the communities involved.
