Our research team had an active and successful presence at the 32nd International European Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing (Euro-Par 2026) in Pisa, Italy.

During the conference workshops, Mohsen Salimi presented our latest paper, titled:

“Decentralized Federated Learning for Net Active Power Probabilistic Forecasting in Smart Microgrids”

This research investigates decentralized federated learning paradigms combined with probabilistic forecasting models to achieve accurate, privacy-preserving net active power predictions across microgrid edge nodes without requiring a central coordinator. This work has been developed within the framework of the O-CEI and SED (Smart Energy District) projects.

Finally, we are proud to announce that our team had the privilege of receiving an award at the Euro-Par 2026 PhD Symposium, celebrating our ongoing doctoral research contributions in distributed systems and intelligent energy grids.
