30 Aug 2026 - 02 Sep 2026: Participation at 21st SDEWES Conference

Swiss Pilot of O-CEI project was presented at the 21st SDEWES Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems, held from 30 August to 3 September 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The talk presented by Professor Nabil Abdennadher addressed how electricity systems are being transformed by decentralized renewable energy production and evolving consumption patterns. It showed how O-CEI develops an open platform to manage distributed resources and orchestrate applications across the cloud-edge continuum, and how Blueprints and a Blueprint Product Operator formalize objectives and automate deployment and lifecycle management. It then focused on the Swiss pilot, presenting the work carried out and the results achieved so far in user engagement, energy forecasting, and energy flexibility applications.

The conference brought together more than 500 researchers and experts from 58 countries, offering a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas.
